These are your tasks

• Develop solutions with which we implement our network strategy in existing and future systems and sustainably further develop our network operation

• Identify need for action, develop smart grid concepts and technical use cases and accompany their implementation up to introduction in operation

• Analyse network, measurement and system data, further develop models and surrounding systems and derive concrete technical and organisational measures from them

• Define requirements for sensors, actuators, data and systems so that our distribution network becomes more transparent, controllable and automatable

• As technical lead, bring together internal and external specialists, conduct technical discussions at eye level and drive topics forward to realisation

• Evaluate new technologies, methods and market trends in terms of benefits for network operation and transfer suitable approaches into practical solutions

• Recognise challenges of the energy transition early and develop solutions with professional standards and sustainable added value

This is what sets you apart

• University degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, computer science or a comparable technical field

• Several years of experience with distribution networks, network automation, smart grid, energy data management or related fields

• Experience in the development, implementation and operational introduction of technical concepts, systems or digital solutions

• Good understanding of distribution networks as well as decentralised energy generation, energy storage, electromobility, flexibilities and intelligent network components

• Conceptual and structured way of thinking as well as the ability to reduce complex issues to the essentials and develop feasible solutions

• Independent, goal-oriented and pragmatic working style, professional responsibility and successful implementation of demanding projects across organisational boundaries

• Confident handling of data and digital solutions as well as ideally experience with data analysis, Power BI, GIS, IoT platforms or comparable tools

• Ability to communicate technical contexts understandably, convince different stakeholders and accompany new solutions up to productive use

Your workplace

Your workplace is at Monbijoustrasse 11 in Bern, directly at the main station.

And of course also at your home in your home office – up to two days per week.

Our benefits

• Flexible working hours model in a 40-hour week with paid breaks
• Regular shift work and generous compensation for on-call duty (financially and in time form)
• At least 5 weeks of holiday and various paid short leaves (e.g. for moving, wedding etc.)
• Child and education allowances of 320.- per month as well as additional care allowances of up to 200.- per month
