ICT Solution Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
You combine solid system engineering know-how with enjoyment of customer contact and complex technical tasks. In this role, you accompany customer installations, ensure technical integration, and support demanding support cases.
You work at the interface of network, security, messaging, and virtualisation. Your skills are particularly in demand for analysing faults, commissioning solutions, as well as further developing and testing technical appliances.
Responsibilities:
You advise customers on operational technical issues and accompany them throughout the entire installation process.
You ensure the commissioning of customer installations via remote maintenance and support complex integrations.
You take on demanding 3rd-level support cases and analyse network, security, and mail flow problems.
You systematically investigate technical errors and develop sustainable solutions.
You contribute to the development and testing of appliances.
You create and maintain technical operational and system documentation.
You work with Linux and Windows systems as well as cloud and virtualisation environments.
Qualifications:
You have several years of experience as a system engineer or in a comparable technical role.
You are very familiar with TCP/IP, SMTP, firewalls, NAT, and DNS.
You bring in-depth knowledge of mail flow, Microsoft 365, SMTP, IMAP, MX, SPF, and DKIM.
You have good knowledge of Linux and Windows.
You have experience with SSH/SCP, SSL, NTLM, and Kerberos as well as LDAP, Active Directory, HTTP/S, SAML, and APIs.
You know VMware and have experience with virtual server and network environments.
You are familiar with Active Directory, group policies, and basic Microsoft Defender functions.
You know Microsoft 365 rules and connectors and can analyse complex mail structures.
You work independently, analytically, and solution-oriented.
