Would you like to put your theoretical knowledge from your social pedagogy studies into practice? The University Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy offers you an exciting opportunity: During your one-year internship in the partial inpatient or inpatient psychiatric care of children and adolescents, you will actively participate in the care and treatment of our patients according to pedagogical-therapeutic principles, enabling you in the practical field of child and adolescent psychiatry. You will become familiar with pedagogical and systemic working methods as well as approaches from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Multifamily Therapy, and New Authority, and you will have the opportunity to apply concepts and tools of diagnostics and treatment in practice. In a committed interdisciplinary team of professionals from pedagogy, psychology, and medicine, you have the chance to expand your knowledge, face new challenges, and competently care for and support our young patients aged 5 to 18 years.

Your tasks

• You accompany children and adolescents in everyday life according to pedagogical-therapeutic principles
• You learn about concepts of diagnostics and treatment and apply them in practice
• You work in a dedicated team of professionals from social pedagogy, curative education, and nursing
• The interdisciplinary case management supports you in working with the patients and their families
• Your practical trainer supports you throughout the entire internship and ensures you receive optimal supervision

Your profile

• You are studying social pedagogy, social work, or special education
• You bring enthusiasm, independence, and willingness to learn
• You are resilient and ready to engage intensively with our patients and family systems
• You enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration and want to expand your knowledge in the pedagogical-therapeutic environment
• You have very good German language skills, both spoken and written
