You can contribute in this role

• Conduct analysis and assessment of foreign armed forces and their deployments
• Monitor and assess the short-, medium- and long-term military situation development in the assigned area of responsibility
• Ensure comprehensive knowledge of all data and facts necessary for the ongoing assessment of the situation development
• Classify and assess military actions at the operational and military-strategic level
• Within the defined responsibility, prepare reports, documentation and situation briefings as well as deliver specialist presentations within the framework of intelligence dissemination
• Maintain contacts with service recipients and intelligence requirement holders

What makes you unique

• University degree (Master's)
• Excellent analytical and editorial skills, critical thinking
• Broad military knowledge, preferably officer rank
• Further training in the field of intelligence and defence technology
• Functionally relevant professional experience
• Good active knowledge of at least a second official language and, if possible, passive knowledge of a third official language as well as good English skills

The Operations Command (Kdo Op) is responsible for all military operations and deployments of the Swiss Army. The Kdo Op includes, among others, the Air Force, the Army, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT competence centre, the Special Forces Command and the Military Police. Around 40% of the approximately 2,500 employees are civilian – from engineers to aircraft mechanics to analysts.

The Swiss Army employs over 9,000 staff in four military and around 200 civilian professions – at 110 locations throughout Switzerland. The next generation is also taken care of: the Swiss Army trains apprentices in over 30 professions.
