IT System Administrator (m/f/d)
Our ROCKEN partner is an owner-managed Swiss IT company that supports small and medium-sized enterprises as an IT general contractor throughout the entire infrastructure lifecycle – from the local server landscape through managed services to complete outsourcing to a highly secure, geo-redundant data centre. Role:
A technically skilled professional is sought for the reliable operation of IT systems and server environments. You will manage both internal systems and customer infrastructures and ensure that servers, clients and applications remain stable and up to date.
The position combines system administration and support with practical involvement in infrastructure projects. You will work independently, document technical solutions and support users with faults and questions.
Responsibilities:
Installation, maintenance and updating of IT systems in internal and external environments
Management of the server landscape and own data centre
Execution of software deployments and security updates
Handling support requests at first and second level as well as documentation of faults
Participation in infrastructure projects and improvement of existing IT processes
Maintenance of technical documentation and support of stable IT operations
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in system administration or IT support
Solid knowledge of Microsoft environments, Hyper-V, HPE server technologies and Microsoft 365
Basic knowledge of scripting, for example PowerShell, and SQL is an advantage
Analytical and solution-oriented approach as well as independent working style
Fluent German and good English skills
Driving licence category B
