On-premises meets cloud: Take responsibility for a modern IT platform, automate processes, and develop resilient systems for the digital future.
This position is aimed at experienced infrastructure specialists who want to combine classic system technology with cloud engineering and cyber security. Alongside stable operation, active modernisation of the platform is central.
Responsibilities:
Design and further development of a highly available hybrid IT architecture
Connecting local server infrastructure with modern Azure cloud services
Engineering and administration of virtualised VMware environments
Maintenance of physical compute, storage, and network components
Building a central monitoring and observability landscape for cloud and on-premises
Development of robust backup and disaster recovery strategies
Technical responsibility for Veeam-based recovery processes
Automation of administrative tasks with PowerShell and Azure Automation
Development of workflows and integrations with Azure Logic Apps
Support of Microsoft 365 and Intune in the infrastructure context
Handling complex technical incidents including root cause analysis
Support in securing systems and infrastructure against current cyber threats
Implementation of technical hardening, security, and resilience measures
Planning and realisation of infrastructure and cloud projects
Coordination of technical tasks with internal stakeholders and external partners
Identification of new technologies and continuous optimisation of the system landscape
Qualifications:
Solid education in computer science, system technology, or comparable technical qualification
Several years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering or system engineering
Very good knowledge of Windows Server and enterprise networks
Experience with VMware and Veeam
Good knowledge of modern Azure infrastructures
Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, or comparable cloud management platforms
Very good knowledge of PowerShell and interest in automation
Ideally experience with Cisco
Knowledge of Linux, SQL, or Azure Logic Apps is an advantage
Understanding of monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and IT security
Experience in implementing technical projects
High personal responsibility and enjoyment of complex technical tasks
Solution-oriented and analytical working style
