IT Engineer Infrastructure (m/f/d)
Our client is an internationally active company in the chemical industry, specialising in the production and distribution of chemical specialties. The company combines modern production processes with a strong focus on quality and reliable international customer support.
Role:
Are you looking for a new challenge as an IT infrastructure specialist? In this role, you take responsibility for the planning, operation, and maintenance of IT infrastructures. You are responsible for the security, efficiency, and reliability of the systems and ensure they meet the organisation's requirements. As a professional in this field, you bring your experience and expertise to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions. You are an important part of the IT team and contribute to keeping the digital infrastructure up to date.
Responsibilities:
- You maintain and service servers as well as the PABX system
- In this role, you ensure the backup and restoration of company data and systems
- As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you manage the network and firewall infrastructure
- You support local business systems and interfaces with application teams and suppliers
- In this role, you provide second-level support and first-level backup in close collaboration with the IT Service Management Specialist
- You manage IT suppliers, IT assets, communication systems, software licences, and IT requirements
Qualifications:
- You have completed training in computer science, such as a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT training as an IT specialist with further education
- You bring 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, ideally in an industrial or production environment, including managing IT vendors and service providers
- You have solid practical knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, group policies, patch management, virtualisation, backup/recovery, basic SQL administration, networking, and IT security
- You have very good command of German and English
- You are a team player with strong communication skills in a multicultural environment and are structured, reliable, service-oriented, flexible, and resilient
- You are willing to continue your education and have the ability to adapt to new situations
