The district capital Dietikon is a vibrant regional centre and an important economic location in the rapidly growing Limmattal. The fifth largest city in the canton of Zurich has around 28,000 inhabitants and counts about 3,100 pupils. The Dietikon school currently comprises six school units. It has many years of experience in the field of special education and integration.
The Steinmürli school unit is located in the centre of Dietikon, within short walking distance to Dietikon station. At this lively QUIMS school we teach kindergarten and primary classes as well as a small class. An optional daycare complements the offer. This school unit operates according to the educational concept of the new authority according to Haim Omer.
To lead the kindergarten level, we are looking for an experienced and strong leadership personality from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement as
Your tasks
• Leadership of the kindergarten level at the Steinmürli school unit in pedagogical, personnel and organisational terms
• Clarification and further development of structures, processes and responsibilities
• Building and strengthening a binding, shared pedagogical attitude within the team
• Ensuring a stable and reliable school operation in everyday life
• Leadership, support and development of staff
• Steering and bundling of development processes with a view to sustainability
• Cooperation with parents, SSA, SHP, SPD and other specialist offices
• Cooperation within the school management team of the Steinmürli school unit and the school management conference of the Dietikon school
Your profile
• Pedagogical basic training and sound experience in the education system of the canton of Zurich
• Completed school management training • proven leadership experience, ideally in challenging school contexts
• High clarity in leadership and decision-making ability
• Ability to provide orientation while building sustainable relationships
• Structured, reliable and goal-oriented way of working
• Strong communication skills and confident appearance
• Resilience as well as enjoyment of development and building work
• Good ICT user skills
