The Emmental administrative district is characterised by a rural environment with vibrant communities. The range of construction projects extends from traditional village centres to modern infrastructure developments, creating a varied and exciting working environment. In this versatile role, you support the management of the construction department, handle demanding construction projects and contribute with your service-oriented approach to efficient and citizen-focused task fulfilment.

Your tasks

• Review construction applications and independently carry out building permit procedures
• Plan and lead conciliation and instruction negotiations, inspections and settlement discussions
• Draft procedural orders and overall construction decisions – advise and support third parties within and outside the cantonal administration
• Deputise for the head of the construction department with the possibility of taking over the department management from summer 2028

Your profile

• Training as a Bernese construction administrator, degree at bachelor level or at a higher technical college HF with function-specific further training or legal training
• Several years of professional experience in building permit matters and very good knowledge of building law
• Leadership experience advantageous
• Resilience and assertiveness, customer-oriented manner with confident expression in spoken and written language
