About the job
#supportive #respectful #together #sustainable:
A job that begins where people reach their limits.
The most important points in brief
You are empathetic, professional and keep an overview even in complex situations? Then we are looking for you. As a social worker in the acute department, you accompany patients individually and personally – where social challenges, problems or crises are part of the psychiatric treatment mandate. Your work thus makes a decisive contribution to holistic care. In our acute department, our interprofessional team treats people with psychiatric disorders who require more intensive support, and this is exactly where you come in: with expertise, sensitivity and composure.
This is what your professional day with us looks like
- You work directly in our acute department, right in the interprofessional team and close to the patients. Additionally, together with another social worker, you are responsible for patients of the day clinic.
- You advise on social issues, help with everyday coping and plan the next steps after the hospital stay together with the patients.
- You assess the resources and challenges of our acute inpatient and day clinic patients from a social work perspective, prioritise the indicated topics and support them in finding and implementing solutions.
- This includes close interprofessional collaboration and networking both internally and externally with institutions, employers and people from the patients’ social environment.
- You plan, organise and conduct network meetings independently or with the treatment team.
- Documentation of progress and correspondence are also part of your duties.
- You also take on other tasks for the hospital social service and help to cover for colleagues during absences.
This is what you bring with you
- University degree in Social Work (or equivalent training) and experience in clinical social work in psychiatry, healthcare or social insurance law.
- Even in hectic times, you can rely on your independence, flexibility and personal responsibility.
- Your empathy and friendliness help you deal with people in crisis situations.
- At the same time, you enjoy tackling challenging goals and achieving them together with the team and the department.
- You see administration as a natural part of social work and complete it efficiently and promptly.
- Standing still is not your thing – you enjoy developing new ideas and putting them into practice to further develop the hospital social service.
