Business Applications Specialist (m/f/d)
Role:
Those who do not view technical systems in isolation but understand how efficient business processes arise from them will find a challenging field of activity here. The focus is on a complex ERP landscape, intelligent data flows, and the next generation of digital business processes.
Responsibilities:
Further development of a central business application platform with high process relevance
Design of digital workflows across various business areas
Analysis of end-to-end processes and translation of business requirements into scalable system solutions
Technical support and optimisation of ERP modules and connected applications
Development and maintenance of interfaces between ERP, databases, and other company systems
Building automated data processing and intelligent process chains
Use of SQL for data analysis, plausibility checks, and technical evaluations
Development of small automation solutions with Bash and Python
Ensuring high data quality within business-critical processes
Preparation and technical support of a future ERP modernisation
Support with data migrations, system tests, and release changes
Development of technical concepts for new applications and digital processes
Consulting business units on the selection and implementation of suitable system solutions
Creation of clear training and support concepts for users
Accompanying changes and continuous optimisation of the system landscape
Qualifications:
Technical training, computer science degree, or comparable professional experience
Experience with ERP systems, business applications, or complex enterprise platforms
Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Practical experience in Linux environments and Bash
Ideally experience with Python for automation and data processing
Understanding of data migration, system integration, and technical interfaces
Experience in implementing IT projects or change initiatives
Strong process understanding and ability to derive technical solutions from business requirements
Enjoyment in connecting IT, data, and operational business processes
Independent and structured working style with high quality standards
Interest in modern technologies such as AI, process mining, and intelligent automation solutions
