Timberland EMEA is looking for an exceptional Merchandiser – Women’s Apparel & Accessories (Timberland EMEA) to join our team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

Let’s Talk about the Role
The Merchandiser for Women’s Apparel & Accessories at Timberland EMEA is responsible for building consumer-right assortments, driving DTC excellence, and supporting Timberland’s brand elevation across the region. The role blends product insight, commercial analysis, and a strong understanding of the Timberland consumer to deliver profitable, on-brand collections for the EMEA marketplace. This role reports into the Apparel Merchandising Manager.
How You Will Make a Difference
You will achieve this by:

Women’s and Accessories Assortment Strategy: build seasonal assortments for women’s apparel and accessories aligned with Timberland’s EMEA brand direction, ensuring relevance across lifestyle, outdoor, and streetwear expressions and creating clear, consumer-relevant seasonal stories.

SMU Development & Account Differentiation: identify opportunities for SMUs (Special Make-Ups), capsules and collaborations to support strategic wholesale key accounts, drive differentiation across channels, strengthen partnerships, and increase desirability and cultural relevance.

Pre-Season Management: lead the pre-season process by defining category strategies, target assortments, pricing architecture, and channel segmentation. Build line plans based on consumer insights, historical performance, and marketplace needs. Partner with Planning and Global Merchandising to set financial targets, SKU productivity expectations, margin objectives, and full-price performance ambitions.

Go-To-Market & Pre-Line Presentation: deliver compelling GTM and pre-line presentations that clearly communicate product stories, category strategies, and commercial opportunities. Influence internal teams and key accounts through strong storytelling, visual clarity, and confident delivery.

DTC Excellence: define premium DTC assortments, segmentation, and product storytelling in partnership with Retail and VM teams to elevate full-price performance and improve sell-through in women’s categories.

Brand Elevation & Streetwear Relevance: curate consumer-centric assortments, capsules, collaborations, and SMUs that enhance desirability, cultural relevance, and Timberland’s brand elevation in the EMEA marketplace.

Unlock Wholesale Marketplace Growth: accelerate the women’s business by unlocking opportunities with strategic wholesale key accounts. Tailor assortments, pricing, and product stories to drive category growth and strengthen Timberland’s position in the marketplace.

GTM & Line Architecture: translate global direction into EMEA-specific line architecture, pricing, and GTM tools that support sell-in and sell-out success and effective differentiation across DTC and wholesale channels.

In-Season Management: steer in-season performance by tracking productivity KPIs (sell-through, ROS, UPT, conversion) and marginality KPIs (IMU, maintained margin, markdown impact). Identify risks and opportunities, propose corrective actions, and partner with Planning and Sales to maximize profitability across DTC and wholesale.

Cross-Functional Leadership: partner with Planning, Sales, Marketing, VM, and Global Merchandising to align on consumer insights, marketplace needs, and brand priorities.
Skills for Success

Fashion Merchandising Expertise: strong understanding of women’s apparel and accessories, including fits, fabrics, category dynamics, and seasonal assortment planning within lifestyle, outdoor, or streetwear environments.

Analytical & Commercial Acumen: ability to analyze sell-in/sell-out data, margins, marketplace performance, full-price performance, sell-through, and category growth opportunities.

Brand & Consumer Insight: deep understanding of the Timberland consumer, the EMEA marketplace, and how to create clear, consumer-relevant seasonal stories aligned with Timberland’s brand elevation.

DTC & Omnichannel Mindset: background in DTC-led merchandising and omnichannel assortment planning, with the ability to differentiate assortments across DTC and wholesale channels.

Wholesale & Account Management: experience working with strategic wholesale key accounts and driving category growth through tailored assortments, product stories, capsules, collaborations, and SMUs.

Presentation & Storytelling Skills: ability to deliver clear, persuasive GTM and pre-line presentations that inspire internal teams and key accounts.

Cross-Functional Communication: strong collaboration skills across design, planning, sales, marketing, retail, VM, and global merchandising teams.

Tools & Systems: proficiency in PLM, Excel, and merchandising systems.

Experience Requirement: 2–5 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or planning, ideally within women’s apparel or accessories and within a global lifestyle, outdoor, or streetwear brand.
