About the job
Production mechanics work in mechanical-technical companies. They process metal components and assemble them into various devices, apparatuses, machines, or construction structures. For this, they read manufacturing documents and technical drawings. They prepare the necessary work tools. They complete their tasks and projects precisely and independently, sometimes also in teams and with other specialists.
Production mechanics mainly work with metals such as steel, stainless steel, or aluminium. They master processing and joining techniques such as drilling, turning, milling, and grinding. Production mechanics assemble and install individual parts or entire assemblies. The assembled devices, apparatuses, and machines can be very diverse.
