About the job
As a cross-sectional department with around 160 employees, Planning & Operations supports the frontline departments with specialists and advises the commander on security police matters. Our Data Maintenance and Alerting unit is responsible for the data quality of the operational control system and the alerting of the fire brigade and civil protection as well as the civilian command bodies. Are you ready to take responsibility and actively support the deployment disposition of the Police Operations Centre of the Bern Cantonal Police?
Your tasks
- Mutate and maintain data in the operational control system as well as maintain objects (alarm objects, police dispositions, deployment resource recording)
- Participate in the administration of automatic alarms and alerting data in the fire brigade area as well as for other partners
- Ensure data quality by checking and documenting processes, accompanying changes, managing tickets and fault reports
- Create training materials and instructions
- Support in formulating requirements for new systems
- Provide information and support with enquiries from internal departments as well as partner organisations such as medical services, fire brigade, municipalities, authorities
Your profile
- Several years of professional experience in the security sector or in comparable interface functions from the security environment, fire brigade knowledge in the administrative area (MUF) is an advantage
- IT affinity and confident handling of the MS Office suite
- Broad experience and knowledge in structured data collection as well as understanding of networked systems and databases
- Good comprehension and analytical skills as well as a structured, precise and goal-oriented working method even with a high volume of tasks
- Initiative, loyal and discreet personality with high social competence and pronounced team orientation
- Very good written and spoken German skills as well as good French knowledge
