Role:
You don’t want to see software development and security as opposites, but to bring them together. That is exactly what the position of Platform Security Engineer is for. The focus is on automated build and deployment processes, secured applications, and the protection of networked warehouse systems. Professional support, plenty of practical experience, and time to build security know-how await you. Those who want to start and grow will find the right environment here.
Responsibilities:
You secure applications, databases, and container landscapes, including security scans, dependency checks, and clear permission concepts.
In addition, you set up and operate CI/CD pipelines, including build automation, repository integration, and static code analysis.
You respond in a structured manner to vulnerabilities, anomalies in monitoring, and security incidents, using modern log and dashboard tools.
You implement protection mechanisms for interfaces between IT and operational technology, for example with common industrial protocols in control systems.
Interaction with development teams, product managers, customer support, and the central security organisation shapes your working day.
Furthermore, you document processes transparently and automate recurring compliance checks.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science forms your foundation, preferably with a focus on security topics.
Alternatively, you have already gained some practical experience in the DevOps area or around warehouse management systems.
You are generally familiar with Java or Spring Boot, relational databases, and operating systems such as Linux, Windows Server, or cloud platforms.
Secure coding, identity and access management (IAM), and network security in production environments interest you professionally.
Structured working methods, curiosity, and enjoyment of agile collaboration describe you well.
In addition, you communicate fluently and confidently in German, and have a solid command of English.
