About the job
Pro Natura is the leading organisation for nature conservation in Switzerland. It is committed to the promotion and preservation of native animal and plant species.
As part of the project "Pro Biotope — Young Professionals in Action for Nature", Pro Natura is looking for 6 forest rangers, landscape gardeners or agricultural employees for a group assignment in the field of biotope protection (100%) from 1 August to 31 October 2023, preferably recent graduates, as well as one foreman.
Your task
You will assist in the enhancement of biotopes of national importance. You will ensure minimal maintenance of fallow dry habitats and fens. You will carry out initial interventions to restore problem areas, e.g. clearing of bushes and thinning. You will maintain valuable structural elements such as forest edges and hedges.

• Completed training as a forest ranger, landscape gardener, agricultural employee or equivalent qualification
• Enjoyment of nature and landscape
• High motivation and willingness to perform
• Strong sense of responsibility
• Enjoyment of teamwork
• Physical fitness and good mobility in rough terrain
