What you can contribute

• Lead the International Cooperation department in terms of expertise, organisation, personnel and finances
• Represent Switzerland in international organisations on weather and climate and maintain the international and national network of relations
• Advise the management and develop positions on international matters
• Accompany the national implementation of the GAW and GCOS programmes from a strategic, political and financial perspective
• Coordinate and strategically further develop MeteoSwiss activities in the field of development cooperation

What makes you unique

• Master’s degree in natural sciences or in the field of international relations
• Proven several years of leadership experience as well as very good negotiation skills and advisory competence
• Strong understanding of meteorology and climatology
• Integrative personality with high cooperation skills and a pronounced understanding of cross-departmental decision-making and coordination processes
• Strong understanding of the cultural, political and institutional peculiarities of international organisations as well as the ability to act confidently in this environment
• Very good knowledge of two official languages as well as good English skills

As Head of International Cooperation, you represent Switzerland in a demanding international environment, advise the management and actively shape the office’s international relations.
