Are you interested in purchasing, international transport logistics, and the analysis of costs and processes? In this versatile role, you will be involved in the procurement of transport and logistics services, support negotiations with business partners, and contribute to the further development of efficient purchasing solutions.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Participation in the procurement of services in combined transport, especially rail and shipping
• Support in the procurement of transport services from subcontractors as well as services in the tank container business
• Development and further advancement of purchasing concepts in collaboration with the responsible buyers
• Preparation and accompaniment of negotiations with existing and potential business partners, including the creation of analyses, statistics, and decision-making bases
• Verification and clarification of invoices, tariffs, and billing-relevant discrepancies
• Analysis of purchasing and cost data as well as derivation and implementation of suitable optimisation measures
• Maintenance of purchasing and master data as well as participation in the further development of the internal purchasing system

Your Qualifications

• Completed university of applied sciences or higher technical college, preferably in logistics, supply chain management, purchasing, or business administration with a focus on logistics
• Professional experience ideally in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management
• High IT and numerical affinity as well as proficient use of MS Office
• Good skills in data preparation, evaluation, and presentation
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style with an interest in efficient processes
• Very good German and English skills, additional foreign languages are an advantage
• Quick comprehension and pronounced process understanding
• Independent, reliable, and responsible personality with team spirit
• Strong interest in purchasing as well as communication and negotiation skills in dealing with internal and external contacts
• Willingness to travel for business within Europe and a category B driving licence
