Are you motivated by the idea of contributing to strategically relevant topics, driving transformation in the Life business, using AI opportunities purposefully to make internal processes more efficient and secure - and gaining insight into decisions at top management level?

In this role, you are part of the Life business unit in the Strategy & Transformation area at Zurich Switzerland. You support the Life Transformation Team in translating strategic initiatives into a Target Operating Model (TOM), with which we make processes more efficient and transfer BVG-relevant calculation tools into a centralised, auditable application. You work with the Head of Life Transformation as well as other stakeholders from Business, Risk and Compliance and make an important contribution to the further development of our Life business.

What to expect

• You design and manage strategic transformation programmes in the operational Life business and support our AI specialists in identifying and shaping value-adding AI use cases.
• You define the Target Operating Model (TOM) to make processes and calculation steps in BVG Underwriting & Pricing more efficient and robust, and translate it into concrete work packages and realistic milestones.
• You create transparency about programme status, progress, dependencies and risks, derive the necessary need for action and decisions, and prepare target group-appropriate decision-making bases for top management.
• You bring together stakeholders from Business, IT, Risk and Compliance, manage collaboration with senior management and operational units, and coordinate central programme appointments as well as workshops and events.
• Depending on your profile, you support the transfer of fragmented Excel and VBA solutions into centralised, modular Python applications with databases and interfaces and help replace manual controls with automated solutions and - where sensible - AI.

What distinguishes you

• Several years of experience in implementing and managing large programmes, strategically derived projects or complex change initiatives in the insurance or financial services environment as well as in defining and implementing Target Operating Models (TOM) - including business value classification and clear minimum acceptance requirements
• Experience in model or tool governance, tool testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) of Python and AI solutions as well as in validation methods is an advantage
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills to quickly grasp complex contexts, prepare them understandably, translate them into concrete work steps and drive topics forward in a structured manner
• Confident stakeholder management at different hierarchical levels, experience in working with senior and top management as well as very good knowledge in programme management, management reporting and preparing decision-making bases
• Technical understanding and practical experience with Python applications; additional knowledge of programming languages and tools such as R, SQL or VBA as well as experience in integrating AI is an advantage
