Our systems in the area of Sourcing & Purchasing form a central foundation for purchasing, assortment, and availability. As Team Lead Software Engineering, you lead a small engineering team and develop modern solutions for our procurement processes together with them. What to expect
- Leadership, coaching, and development of a small engineering team with a focus on personal responsibility, quality, and continuous learning
- Hands-on involvement in software development – from the initial idea through architecture and solution design to productive operation
- Close collaboration with product management, stakeholders, and adjacent engineering teams
- Development of modern and scalable solutions for central processes in the area of Sourcing & Purchasing
- Design of modular architectures and interfaces using approaches such as Domain-Driven Design, Self-Contained Systems, and Data Mesh
- Ensuring high code quality through code reviews, pair programming, and structured testing processes
- Further development of CI/CD, DevOps, and deployments so that the team can deliver quickly, stably, and regularly
- Promotion of a trusting team environment with an open culture of error, feedback, and learning
What you bring
- At least five years of experience in software development and at least one year of experience in a technical or personnel leadership role
- Solid knowledge of Java as well as experience with SQL, data modelling, CI/CD, and DevOps
- Familiarity with modular software architecture, interface design, and asynchronous data processing
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design, Self-Contained Systems, or comparable architectural approaches
- Enjoyment of short agile iterations, automation, and hands-on software development
- An empathetic, clear, and motivating leadership mentality
- Experience in developing employees and fostering an open learning and feedback culture
- Completed studies in computer science or business informatics or a comparable qualification
- Experience in e-commerce and with cloud technologies is an advantage
