The St. Antonius Appenzell Gymnasium (www.gymnasium.ai.ch) operates as a cantonal secondary school with federally recognized Matura, offering lower and upper secondary education. Approximately 240 students are taught at this traditional, humanistically oriented school.
Starting from the 2026/27 school year (August 1, 2026), we are looking for a teacher for the basic subject Biology (8 weekly lessons).
Your Tasks
- Teaching the basic subject Biology in the lower secondary school
- Collaboration in the subject department as well as in teaching and school development projects
Your Profile
- Completed university master's degree in Biology
- Teaching diploma for Matura schools or in training for it
- Alternatively, completed master's degree as a secondary level I teacher from the University of Teacher Education or in training for it
- Proven professional as well as pedagogical and didactic competencies and strong social skills in dealing with adolescents
- Enjoyment of teaching at a gymnasium with a family-like atmosphere
