Founded in 1951, the Swiss Institute for Art Research (SIK-ISEA) is an internationally renowned centre of expertise in art history and art technology. Its core activities include services, research, documentation, and knowledge transfer related to art in Switzerland. The results of work in art history and art technology are published as Open Data. The nationwide institute, headquartered in Zurich, with a Romandy branch at the University of Lausanne and a contact office at the Museo d’arte della Svizzera italiana (MASI) in Lugano, holds the status of an autonomous, non-profit research institute and employs a total of 65 staff members.

To strengthen our database team, we are looking for a service-oriented individual starting 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.

Your tasks:

• Developing and formulating requirements in collaboration with our internal staff
• Developing technical solutions in coordination with team members
• Contributing to the programming of our internal application
• Participating in testing our internal application

Your profile:

• Relevant experience from studies or professional work
• Experience in requirements engineering
• Knowledge of relational databases, especially Postgres and Oracle
• Knowledge of C#/Asp.net Framework
• Knowledge of Linux server administration and/or React is an advantage
• Independent, structured, and team-oriented working style
• Good communication skills in German and English
