Plastics Technologist / Setter
For our client, an internationally active Swiss industrial company specialising in high-precision plastic parts and assemblies for industry, medical technology, diagnostics and laboratories, we are seeking a technically skilled, quality-conscious and solution-oriented individual as a Setter / Plastics Technologist.In this versatile role, you will take responsibility for the professional setup and supervision of demanding injection moulding processes in the medical and cleanroom environment, making an important contribution to stable, reproducible and high-quality production processes.
Your Responsibilities
- Independent setup, changeover and start-up of injection moulding machines, peripheral equipment and precision tools in the cleanroom
- Setting up and supervising tip tools including tool alignment as well as adjusting and checking run-out
- Monitoring and optimisation of machine parameters, tool centring and process sequences
- Performing tool changes as well as systematic analysis and rectification of technical faults
- Participation in machine, tool and process validations including IQ/OQ/PQ, revalidations and process approvals
- Maintenance of relevant process, validation, production and tool documentation
- Coordination of machine planning as well as material, tool and peripheral requirements with internal departments
- Carrying out defined maintenance and servicing tasks as well as supporting tool corrections
- Technical support and instruction of operating personnel
- Ensuring cleanroom, hygiene, quality and deadline requirements
- Continuous optimisation of production processes in terms of quality, process stability and efficiency
Your Profile
- Completed training as a Plastics Technologist EFZ, preferably specialising in injection moulding, or a comparable technical qualification
- Several years of professional experience in plastic injection moulding, ideally in the medical, diagnostics or cleanroom environment
- Good knowledge of tool technology as well as handling precision tools, injection moulding machines and peripheral equipment
- Experience with tip tools as well as knowledge in adjusting and checking run-out is an advantage
- Experience in process optimisation, sampling and validated production processes
- Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ, revalidations and process approvals is an advantage
- Confident handling of process parameters and technical documentation
- Experience with handling systems is an additional plus
