System Engineer Operations (m/f/d)
Your tasks
- You ensure the stable operation of our data centre infrastructure together with the team, particularly managing the Hyper-V platform and adjacent infrastructure services.
- You monitor, operate, and optimise server, virtualisation, and cloud environments, ensuring high availability of services.
- You plan and accompany changes, releases, and lifecycle measures and support their controlled implementation.
- You analyse incidents and faults in 2nd and 3rd level support and actively contribute to sustainable solutions.
- You support infrastructure and migration projects and contribute to the further development of our data centre platforms.
- You work closely with customers, engineering teams, and other departments, coordinating technical requirements.
- You carry out installations, maintenance work, and technical deployments at our data centre locations.
- You actively participate in the operation and further development of central services within the OneService Factory (M365 / Azure).
- You document operational processes, technical solutions, and concepts and support the standardisation and automation of our platforms.
- You support the on-call service and contribute to high service quality and availability.
Your profile
- You have completed IT training (EFZ) or a comparable technical education with relevant further training.
- You bring practical experience as a system engineer in the field of data centre, infrastructure, or managed services.
- You have good knowledge in operating Microsoft Hyper-V environments and M365 and Azure.
- Knowledge of VMware and OpenStack is an advantage.
- You possess know-how in Windows Server as well as hybrid infrastructure and cloud solutions.
- Experience with automation (scripting) or monitoring solutions, Citrix Netscaler is an advantage.
- You work in a structured, responsible, and solution-oriented manner and keep an overview even in demanding situations.
- You convince with a strong service and customer orientation as well as enjoyment in collaborating with various stakeholders.
- You bring initiative, team spirit, and a high quality awareness.
- You communicate confidently in German and well in English.
