You can contribute to this role

• Lead the supply security area in terms of expertise, personnel, organisation, and finances
• Address strategic issues related to supply security and ensure the implementation of strategic directives within the area of responsibility
• Be professionally and organisationally responsible for the business related to the popular initiative "Yes to medical supply security" and the direct counter-proposal as well as the subsequent legislative work
• Manage and coordinate demanding projects to improve supply security in normal situations and crises, including pandemic preparedness
• Ensure collaboration and professional coordination with other units within the FOPH as well as with organisations external to the FOPH

What makes you unique

• Completed university degree in political science, medicine, pharmacy, or natural sciences with specific knowledge and/or further training in the field of supply security
• Very good knowledge of Swiss health policy
• Several years of professional experience in a leadership role and experience in managing complex projects, strong interest in the topic, high commitment and flexibility, as well as pronounced networked and strategic thinking
• Proven, very good negotiation skills, innovative thinking, high social competence, and the ability to understand complex contexts and connect different subject areas
• Very good knowledge of the official languages as well as very good English skills. The main working language is German

In a nutshell

It is planned to establish the currently existing Supply Security Competence Centre as an independent section within the Biomedicine Department from 1 January 2027 and to integrate it organisationally into the FOPH structures. For this reason, a Head of Supply Security is sought from 1 January 2027.
