Job Description
The Pallas Clinics specialise in ophthalmology, dermatology and aesthetic medicine. With more than 350 employees at 17 locations, the clinic group is one of the leading and independent private clinics in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. Excellent medicine and humane treatment are the guiding principles. The headquarters in Olten, with around 50 employees, is responsible for operational management.
To strengthen our Aesthetics team in Olten, we are looking for a motivated
MPA with Focus on OR Planning and Patient Coordination (100%)
Tasks
Area OR Planning and Patient Coordination (approx. 50%)
- Planning and coordination of patient admissions, consultations, examinations and surgical procedures
- Appointment management taking into account medical priorities as well as available personnel and infrastructural resources
- Organisation and monitoring of the entire patient pathway from registration to the procedure or treatment
- Coordination and close collaboration with doctors, nursing staff, anaesthesia and external referrers
- Ensuring completeness of medical records, insurance data and administrative documents
- Telephone and written support of patients as well as providing information on organisational processes
- Ongoing adjustment of planning in case of appointment changes, emergencies or capacity changes
- Maintenance and updating of patient data in the relevant information systems
- Monitoring of waiting lists and appointment deadlines
- Participation in the optimisation of administrative processes
Area Medical Practice Assistance (approx. 50%)
- Assistance during medical consultations, treatments and outpatient procedures
- Preparation and follow-up of treatment and examination rooms
- Independent execution of delegated medical tasks (e.g. blood sampling, dressing changes, photo documentation, wound checks)
- Support during surgical and minor surgical procedures
- Co-responsibility for smooth running of consultations
- Reception, care as well as check-in and check-out of patients
- Appointment allocation and scheduling of patients
- Handling of telephone and written patient requests
- Dispensing of medication according to medical prescription
- Close cooperation with the entire practice team
Job Requirements
- Completed training as a Medical Practice Assistant (MPA) with federal diploma or comparable training in healthcare
- Several years of professional experience in a practice, clinic or comparable medical environment
- Experience in patient coordination, scheduling or OR planning is an advantage
- Enjoyment of combining administrative, organisational and medical tasks
- Strong organisational skills as well as high service and patient orientation
- Independent, structured and responsible way of working
- Resilience and flexibility even in hectic situations
- Very good communication skills and confident manner
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form, additional languages are an advantage
- Confident handling of practice software, IT systems and planning tools
