The Office for IT and Organisation (AIO) is the competence centre for digitalisation and technology in the Canton of Solothurn. It implements IT projects, advises and supports the departments, and ensures the operation and maintenance of central IT and communication systems. For the Management Systems / GRC Department we are looking immediately or by arrangement at the Solothurn location for an ICT Systems Specialist, 80-100%.
Your responsibilities
- In this demanding and varied position, your main tasks primarily include monitoring and continuously improving IT security in the Security Operations area (SoC), analysing and handling security incidents (Security Incident Management), as well as actively observing and technically assessing security threats, the effectiveness of implemented security measures, and initiating appropriate protective actions.
- In addition, cantonal IT projects in the field of information technology/cyber security are expertly supported.
- Besides operational activities, strategic and conceptual work plays a significant role. This includes creating clear requirement specifications regarding ICT security – such as policies and concepts – as well as defining measurable security objectives based on these.
- An essential part is also active participation in the further development of the Cantonal Information Security Management System (ISMS) according to the ISO 27001 standard.
Your profile
- For this demanding position, you bring a solid education in the technology field: ideally, you have a higher professional qualification (e.g. Federal Diploma as ICT Security Expert, MAS/CAS in Information Security) or alternatively a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Cyber Security from an ETH, university, or university of applied sciences.
- You have at least 3-5 years of solid operational experience in IT security and hold a CISSP certification (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
- Additional qualifications such as CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional), vendor-specific cloud security certificates (e.g. Azure Security), as well as a CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) for the pentesting area are a great advantage.
- For daily communication in the official environment, fluent German is mandatory, while English skills are primarily important for understanding technical documentation.
