Do you enjoy teaching languages and are looking for a role that fits your personal and professional situation? At the Language Academy, you decide which teaching assignments you accept and at which locations you wish to teach.

For our locations in Zurich, Basel and Winterthur, we are seeking committed language teachers for:

German, English, French, Portuguese, Swedish, Japanese, Korean and Persian.

Do you teach another language? We would also be pleased to receive your application.

Your Tasks

• You provide private, group or intensive lessons in your teaching language.
• You prepare your lessons carefully and tailor the content to the language level and learning objectives of the participants.
• You design clear, varied lessons with plenty of opportunities for speaking and practising.
• You monitor learning progress and provide helpful feedback.
• You maintain reliable communication with our administration office.

Your Profile

• Excellent knowledge of your teaching language, at least at C1 level or native speaker level.
• Teaching experience and enjoyment in supporting people in language learning.
• The ability to explain content clearly and address different learning needs.
• A reliable, independent working style and respectful interaction with people of diverse backgrounds.
• A proven SVEB certificate or a comparable pedagogical or language didactic qualification is an advantage.

What We Offer

• Flexible assignment acceptance: You select the teaching assignments that fit your availability. Teaching times are agreed upon together.
• A workload of 10–100 %, depending on your availability and the existing course offerings.
• Assignments at one or several locations: Zurich – Oerlikon, Main Station and Stadelhofen –, Basel or Winterthur.
