Role:

You don’t just want to provide resources but shape a cloud environment that runs securely and scalably? In this position as Platform Engineer Microsoft Azure, you will drive the development and advancement of an Azure platform. Security and networking are your focus. With Terraform and thoughtful automation, you create stable foundations for many teams. Your expertise is in demand when it comes to architectural decisions and sustainable concepts.

Responsibilities:

• You design zero-trust and landing zone concepts as well as network designs and bring them into productive operation.

• Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) based on Terraform and your own scripts, you automate deployments and strengthen platform engineering.

• You ensure that security and compliance requirements are met, for example with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, identity management, and role-based access control (RBAC).

• Furthermore, you are responsible for the ongoing operation of the platform and develop it step by step.

• You design secure cloud architectures with a clear focus on network protection.

• Additionally, you support internal teams in getting started with the platform and advise them on architectural questions.

Qualifications:

• You bring practical experience in securing cloud platforms, especially in the areas of IAM, monitoring, networking, and compliance.

• You have completed an IT education (EFZ, HF or FH) or have a comparable background.

• You have been working intensively with Azure for several years, ideally specialising in networking and security.

• In addition, you have solid knowledge of Azure Security Services and Microsoft Defender as well as familiarity with processes around a Security Operations Center (SOC).

• You are familiar with the DevOps and cloud engineering daily routine and routinely implement infrastructure as code.

• Moreover, you think in architectures and modern operating models and can ideally present an Azure certification, for example Azure Security Engineer Associate or Azure Administrator.
