Following the departure of the incumbent, the Works, Environment and Biodiversity Department is looking for a:
Draftsman/Draftswoman Technician in Geomatics at 80%
The Works, Environment and Biodiversity Department is responsible for the implementation of public infrastructure projects, particularly in the areas of roads, green spaces, sanitation and public lighting. The department also ensures the maintenance and preservation of the local environment, aiming to promote biodiversity, natural resource management and compliance with environmental standards.
You will be responsible for:
Geomatics/Data Management:
o Updating data related to the department (pipeline networks, waste management, biodiversity, roads, etc.).
o Conducting GPS surveys in the field and integrating data into the GIS via QGIS.
o Managing and updating GIS/GIS databases in connection with inspections and interventions.
Technical Drawing/Civil Engineering:
o Producing technical plans for road, public lighting and sanitation projects (municipal roads, pavements, parking, water networks, etc.)
o Preparing technical files for tenders and submissions.
o Updating plans of the current state of existing infrastructures
Site Management:
o Participating in field surveys and site visits
o Ensuring technical follow-up of certain sites
o Coordinating with companies and engineering offices, monitoring work on site.
o Writing technical reports and budget monitoring.
Required knowledge and skills:
- Training as a technician, survey draftsman, geomatician or equivalent, with a specialisation in sanitation.
- Knowledge of Swiss legal bases and technical standards in the fields of environment, water protection and disposal, and road construction.
- Proficiency in IT tools: MS Office, AutoCAD, GIS/GIS software (QGIS).
- Experience in a similar position (municipality, engineering office), including project management and site supervision.
- Good knowledge of Swiss legal bases and technical standards in sanitation.
- Autonomy, organisational skills, rigour, initiative.
- Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, public service orientation.
- Sensitivity to environmental issues.
- Category B driving licence mandatory.
