Systemic Social Pedagogical Family Support

As a complement to conventional social pedagogical family support, annea offers systemic social pedagogical family support. The families targeted by this new support service are often confronted with a variety of complex issues/problems. Unlike other outreach family support services, you will work as a systemic social pedagogical family support worker in a co-team with another systemic-therapeutic professional. Regular pre- and post-visit discussions are an integral part of the collaboration.

The meetings mainly take place in the families' homes. These are conducted, oriented to the process, in the form of multi-person or individual sessions with the family or other important reference persons. The aim is, among other things, to give each family member a voice and to resolve entrenched communication and conflict patterns that prevent the resolution of the stressful situation. The support process is guided by the institutional concept developed by annea, which you will help to further develop.

Your Tasks

• You work with families under stress and help them to resolve destructive behavioural and conflict patterns.
• You build a constructive working relationship with the family system.
• You work systemically, participatively, resource-oriented and interdisciplinarily.
• Your working method includes contextualising the family’s issues.
• You enable individual family members to contribute to resolving challenging situations in the future.
• You identify resources and risks regarding child protection and make recommendations to the referring agencies.
• You maintain case files according to guidelines, write reports and meeting minutes.

Your Profile:

• You have completed training in social pedagogy/social work or psychology at FH or university level.
• You have successfully completed at least three years of recognised family therapeutic/systemic further training.
• You have at least 2 years of experience in outreach family support and preferably experience in the family therapeutic/systemic field.
• You are a resilient personality and can remain calm and set priorities in hectic situations.
• You have a high degree of independence and self-organisation.
• You have impeccable German language skills, both spoken and written.
• Foreign language skills are an advantage.
