Role:
Stable releases do not happen by chance. They require a well-thought-out platform. This is exactly where you come in as a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer, shaping the architecture and operation of a container environment around OpenShift and Kubernetes. You make technical decisions with clear ownership and justify them comprehensibly. You deliberately pass on your know-how to less experienced engineers.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for operating the DevOps platform and strategically drive automation and standardisation of the toolchain.
You establish scalable build, test, and release processes with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) as well as GitOps.
Furthermore, you embed requirements for security, compliance, and governance directly into the platform.
You evaluate new tools and platform services, introduce them, and support development, architecture, and IT security with your expertise.
In complex incidents, you take on the technical leadership and clarify causes sustainably.
Additionally, you professionally support junior and professional engineers and strengthen knowledge transfer across team boundaries.
Qualifications:
You have several years of solid experience in DevOps or platform engineering.
You are proficient in container orchestration with OpenShift and Kubernetes.
You work confidently with Git, Tekton, ArgoCD, or TeamCity and are familiar with container registries such as Harbor.
For logging and monitoring, you rely on proven solutions like Sentry or ELK and think about observability holistically.
In addition, you have a sense for secure, scalable platform architectures and pragmatic solutions for complex requirements.
You also impress with decisiveness, analytical strength, and enthusiasm for mentoring.
