You can contribute to this role

• Lead demanding, cross-departmental projects in the field of child and youth policy, such as the current project on the national child and youth policy strategy, and develop political and conceptual decision-making bases
• Shape the follow-up to the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and coordinate cooperation with the involved federal offices, cantons and civil organisations
• Process parliamentary initiatives, draft reports and dossiers for the Federal Council, respond to citizen enquiries
• Represent the office in expert committees, project groups and parliamentary commissions
• Examine financial aid applications for the Children’s Rights credit

What makes you unique

• Master’s degree in social sciences, law or political science
• Profound knowledge of child and youth policy as well as children’s rights and a broad understanding of social policy contexts
• Proven experience in managing complex projects
• Enjoy working independently and in interdisciplinary teams
• Active knowledge of two official languages as well as very good English skills

The Child and Youth Affairs division of the FSO is the federal specialist office for child and youth policy and brings together various stakeholders. As a scientific associate, you lead or accompany political matters together with a motivated team and prepare expert contributions on child and youth policy issues.
