• Examine communication data according to security policy objectives for their relevance and analyse content
• Enrich analysis results with information from publicly accessible sources
• Prepare findings in the form of written reports
• Independently process assigned dossiers and proactively further develop them
• Actively help optimise existing as well as develop new processes, methods and analysis techniques

What makes you unique

• University degree or comparable higher education
• Strong analytical thinking and above-average editorial skills
• Particular interest in security policy issues and armed forces in the East Asian region
• High understanding of technical contexts and competencies in cyber, telecommunications, IT and/or data science
• Good active knowledge of a second official language and very good English skills; language skills in Mandarin (B2–C1) are an advantage

In a nutshell

You work independently in an analysis team on assigned topics. You help to gain intelligence-relevant insights from communication data in a dynamic environment for the benefit of Switzerland’s security policy. You work conscientiously, enjoy familiarising yourself with new technologies, and keep an overview even in hectic times.


The position is limited from 1 January to 30 June 2027.
