The municipality of Cham, with around 18,700 inhabitants and approximately 240 employees in the administration, is one of the largest municipalities in the canton of Zug. In the Social Affairs and Health department, we are committed to the people of Cham with expertise, dedication, and a strong service orientation.
To strengthen our administration team, we are looking for a committed, responsible individual to start immediately or by arrangement as
Clerk / Administrator Social Affairs + Health (60%; Working days MON, TUE, WED)
You are an important point of contact for the public, independently manage your areas of expertise, think holistically, and value collaboration in a dedicated team. In this varied role, you provide administrative support to our social workers, enabling them to focus on their core tasks.
Your tasks
- Case administration, accounting, and support in file management in social assistance
- Conducting eligibility checks and issuing decisions for care vouchers and rent subsidies
- Alternating telephone and counter service during opening hours
- Independent and thorough preparation and follow-up of meetings of the Youth Promotion Commission
- Responsibility for maintenance matters and the financing of family support, including all administrative processes
- Administrative tasks and accounting in other social and health topics
- Participation in projects and the further development of the department
Your profile
- Commercial basic training, further education as an administrative specialist advantageous
- Several years of practical experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Experience in social services, especially in social work, social insurance, or public administration advantageous
- Analytical thinking, strong numerical understanding, and very good IT user skills, especially in MS Office and KLIBnet
- Independent, efficient, and service-oriented working style
- Enjoyment in dealing with people and a meaningful task
- Team spirit, sense of responsibility, and interest in social issues
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new areas and participate in projects
