About the job
The service center "Frontend Services" consists of the areas "IT Service Desk" and "IT Client Management" and, with its 15 employees and 2 interns, forms the basis for professional end-user support and is perceived as the first point of contact as the face of IT.
Your tasks
IT Asset and Contract Management
- Co-responsibility and further development in IT asset management (including CMDB) within ServiceNow
- Co-responsibility and further development in internal IT project and financial controlling
- Operation and further development of a professional IT license and contract management (including SAM solution)
- Coordination/creation of reports and license balances (with the help of the respective tools and external partners)
- Coordination/conducting of license audits
- Standardization and optimization of processes throughout the entire software lifecycle using a contract management system
- Ensuring and maintaining data quality regarding license and contract information
- Conducting clarifications regarding license conditions and costs of licenses with external contract partners, including minor negotiations
- Participation in projects and/or working groups, e.g., within procurement projects
- Participation or involvement in external expert committees in the university environment
Knowledge Management
- Management of knowledge databases within ServiceNow
- Approval of knowledge articles to ensure their accuracy and relevance
- Training and support of authors and other participants in the knowledge management process
Your profile
- Very good knowledge in IT license & contract management, software asset management
- Basic IT training advantageous or technical understanding
- Further education at university of applied sciences level
- Convincing communication skills, negotiation skills, as well as pronounced problem-solving competence
- A high degree of independence and sense of responsibility
- Teamwork skills and friendly demeanor
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
- Knowledge of common software products and cloud offerings, especially knowledge of manufacturers Microsoft, Google, and Adobe
- Experience in the university environment is an advantage
