Chemist / Chemical Technician
Product Development and Quality Assurance
Ottenbach ZH | 100% or part-time as agreed
Start immediately or as agreed
Max Lehner AG has been developing and producing chemical-technical cleaning, polishing and
care products for professional use since 1960, mainly in the B2B market. With the takeover of the
operational FRISAG business as of 1 July 2026, we have expanded our portfolio. Under the brands maxolen,
FRISAG and carlack we supply customers at home and abroad.
For our plant in Ottenbach we are looking for an experienced specialist who combines product development, QA laboratory and
process engineering and also works practically themselves.
Your tasks
- Develop formulations, improve existing products and produce laboratory samples.
- Test raw materials and finished products as well as document quality specifications, batch releases and quarantines.
- Conduct stability and preservation tests or coordinate with suppliers and external laboratories.
- Transfer formulations to production and optimise manufacturing processes.
- Check and document raw material and formulation changes before their introduction.
- Investigate production deviations and complaints and support effective corrective actions.
- Reliably maintain formulations, bills of materials, manufacturing instructions, test documents and retention samples.
- Support production with technical questions as well as cleaning and hygiene procedures.
Your profile
You have a qualification or degree in chemistry or chemical engineering and practical experience in development and quality assurance. Experienced chemical laboratory technicians with solid development experience are also welcome.
Ideally, you are familiar with cleaning agents, polishes or emulsions and their production. You work independently, carefully and solution-oriented, document your work comprehensibly and address deviations early. You appreciate a varied role in an SME and close collaboration with production.
Good German language skills are required. English skills for technical documents and supplier contacts as well as knowledge of chemical law are advantageous.
Your perspective
A varied, practical specialist role with short decision-making paths and direct collaboration with management and production. You accompany products from development to reliable manufacturing and contribute your own technical solutions.
