Volunteers Wanted for Meal Service
For many years, we have been delivering meals to elderly people living independently at home, who are limited by weather conditions. The volunteers come from Arlesheim. The meals are delivered from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between 9 and 11 am to the customers' homes. The meals can be warmed in the microwave. There is also the option to rent an induction hob from us for 10 francs per month. For emergencies, our liability insurance covers the service. Contact person for new customers as well as for interested drivers is Jonas Hubeli, phone number 061 705 07 20 or email: jonas.hubeli@obesunne.ch. We look forward to meeting you.
Once a year, the volunteer team at Obesunne is invited to a fine dinner. The meal costs are compensated by us with 10 francs and the liability insurance covers emergencies. The menu for the 4-course meal includes: regular meals with meat, vegetarian meals, diabetic and light meals.
The price per lunch is 16.50 francs. Currently, we are looking for additional volunteer meal drivers to complement our existing team. You enjoy interacting with elderly people and like to take time for a chat. You deliver meals using your own car. You have time for regular assignments and commit to them. You decide your own personal regularity. Helping out is a gain for everyone: you provide social contacts. People with age-
