When a customer’s network does not function as expected, quick analysis, technical understanding, and a sustainable solution are required. You take on an important role in 2nd and 3rd level support and work closely with network engineers and other IT professionals.
Responsibilities:
You record network issues, analyse their causes, and resolve faults at 2nd and 3rd level.
You manage various network areas such as routing, switching, WLAN, firewalls, and SD-WAN.
You administer FortiGate environments and support network components from Aruba, Juniper, and Cisco.
You monitor the infrastructure and derive suitable optimisations from monitoring data.
You assist with technical changes, migrations, and infrastructure projects and ensure clean implementation.
You work closely with network engineers and other IT teams and coordinate technical issues.
You support customers with network problems and explain technical solutions clearly.
You document fault analyses, solutions, and implemented adjustments comprehensibly.
Qualifications:
You have completed training as an IT specialist EFZ, ideally with a focus on platform development.
You bring initial to several years of experience in IT or network support.
You have good knowledge of routing, switching, WLAN, and firewalling.
You have practical experience with FortiGate and ideally with Aruba, Juniper, or Cisco.
You approach technical problems analytically and work independently and solution-oriented.
You are motivated to continuously familiarise yourself with new technologies and topics.
You enjoy working in a team and can communicate technical matters clearly and understandably.
You communicate very well in German and have good English skills.
