Polymechanic EFZ with strong IT affinity
We are a successful SME at the southern foot of the Jura, developing, producing and distributing sophisticated special tools made of carbide for milling and drilling. Our products are exported to over 70 countries and are used in industries such as mechanical engineering, medical technology, vehicle construction, electrical industry and watchmaking.
With us, you can expect short decision-making paths, a lot of technical know-how and a collegial team that develops practical solutions together.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced polymechanic who knows manufacturing from practice, works in a structured manner and supports and further develops our work preparation and production planning with pronounced IT skills.
Your tasks
In this versatile role, you form an important interface between sales, application technology, production, procurement and logistics. You ensure that our production orders are fully prepared, realistically planned and executed on time.
Your main tasks include:
- Recording, checking, scheduling and monitoring production orders in the ERP system
- Planning and coordinating manufacturing processes, capacities, priorities and delivery dates
- Creating and maintaining work plans, manufacturing documents, standard times and production-relevant master data
- Ensuring a complete and correct handover of orders to production
- Coordinating material availability and external production steps with procurement and manufacturing
- Early detection of bottlenecks, schedule deviations and missing information as well as initiating appropriate measures
- Close cooperation with production managers and involved specialist departments
- Improving data quality and processes within AVOR and production planning
- Participating in the further development of our ERP applications, evaluations and digital tools
- Contributing to projects for optimising and digitising our production processes
Your profile
A completed basic training as a polymechanic EFZ is mandatory for this role.
Ideally, you also have:
- Several years of practical experience in the metalworking industry, preferably in CNC manufacturing, machining, grinding technology or production of precision and special tools
- Experience in work preparation, production planning or production control
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes, processing times, capacities, schedules and costs
- A specialised further education, for example as a process specialist with a federal certificate or as a technician HF/TS in mechanical engineering, production technology or business processes
- Very good IT user skills and confident handling of ERP systems
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- Advantageous experience with data preparation, evaluations, digital process flows, databases or simple automations
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form; additional language skills are an advantage
You work precisely, methodically and reliably. Even with changing priorities, you keep an overview and consistently meet deadlines. You think process-oriented, recognise connections and enjoy continuously improving processes and digital tools.
Your open and factual communication enables good collaboration with employees from production, technology and administration. You take responsibility and independently bring topics to completion.
Even if you are currently still directly involved in manufacturing and want to take the next professional step into work preparation and production planning, we look forward to your application. Besides the training as a polymechanic EFZ, your pronounced process understanding, your structured way of working and your enthusiasm for IT and digital tools are decisive.
What we offer you
You can expect a central and varied role in an internationally active Swiss SME. You will gain insight into the entire value chain and can actively help shape the further development of our production planning and our digital processes.
You benefit from:
- 5 weeks of holiday
- 41-hour week
- Flexible working hours
- Possibility for home office after consultation and successful induction
- Attractive employment conditions
- Above-average social benefits and profit sharing
- Free parking and good accessibility by public transport

- Thorough, practical induction
- Individual training opportunities
- A lot of personal responsibility and room for improvement suggestions
