Iron Mountain is seeking a meticulous and motivated Historical Document Imaging Specialist to join our Digital Solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for the high-quality digitization and preservation of fragile, official government documents and archival film records.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:

Digitize historical records and microfiche archives using specialized camera scanners and imaging software to produce high-quality digital assets that meet strict archival standards.

Collaborate with project managers and team members to provide regular status updates and ensure the accuracy and clarity of all scanned images through rigorous quality checks.

Ensure compliance with preservation standards by safely handling fragile documents and following highly detailed handling processes to maintain the integrity of cultural artifacts.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:

Strong technical knowledge of imaging equipment and editing software, with a preference for those with experience in digitization and preservation techniques.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to identify discrepancies and manage digital archives and databases accurately.

Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a deep awareness of the cultural significance and respectful representation of historical documents.
What We Offer

Compensation: $22.00 per hour.

Project Duration: 12-month full-time assignment.

Location: 5050 North 32nd Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68508.
Must have an awareness of the cultural significance of documents and the importance of respectful handling and representation.
