You develop software that runs in production at the client – not just as a lovable prototype. You don’t need a project nanny reading the Jira board to you every morning. And you know that AI makes you ten times faster, but not ten times smarter. If this applies to you, please read on.

Who we are

The Software Brewery develops customised software solutions for companies – with a team of highly talented developers.

No clock-in and clock-out controls, no overregulation. Just excellent work and a Just Fucking Do It mentality.

What you will do with us

• You take on projects independently – from the first client workshop through architecture and implementation to go-live and operation.
• You sit directly at the table with the client. Every developer here is also a consultant. Short paths, quick decisions, no game of telephone chains.
• You develop web and mobile solutions, portals, interfaces and SAP integrations for enterprise clients and the public sector.
• You bring AI to where it creates real added value – into our clients’ products and into our own way of working.
• You help decide which technology we use. Cutting-edge yes, hype-driven development no.

About AI – an open word

Previously, this section read: "We do not need System.out.println debuggers." That problem is solved. But a new one has arisen.

We love AI tooling. Claude Code, Cursor, Agents, MCP – these are our daily drivers, not experiments. We expect you to master these tools – not the other way around. You know when the agent is right, when it hallucinates, and when it confidently turns your database migration into a mess.

In short: Those who prompt "make it work, no bugs pls" and then deploy to production are in the wrong place here. Those who use AI to deliver twice as clean software in the same time – and still test themselves, read every diff and click through the solution before it lands in the client’s lap – are exactly right here.

What you bring

• Several years of experience as a Fullstack Developer – frontend, backend, database and everything in between.
• Solid knowledge of modern web stacks (e.g. TypeScript, React/Angular, Java/Spring Boot or Node.js) and relational databases.
• Experience with cloud, containers and CI/CD. "Works on my machine" is not a deployment concept.
• An understanding of architecture, security and maintainability – everything a prototype lacks.
• Fluency in AI tooling and a healthy scepticism towards the output.
• Independence: You organise yourself, communicate proactively with clients and deliver. No nanny needed.
• Fluent German (our clients are Swiss), good English.

Junior, but dangerously good?

We keep an eye out for high potentials. If you have fewer years on your CV but more real projects on GitHub, in the App Store or in production than some seniors: Apply.
