To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced individual as a Business Analyst with experience in the telecommunications environment within the framework of a client project. In this role, you will shape the future of telecommunications infrastructure by driving the digitalisation and automation of production systems and contributing to the establishment of a central orchestration platform. You will optimise end-to-end processes, participate in defining product catalogues, interfaces, and operational obligations, and ensure high quality of data flows and reports.
Tasks
- Analysis and conception: Analyse existing processes, data flows, and systems along the e2e
Request#Fulfilment#chain; derive optimisations and create technical concepts.
- Requirement gathering and specification: Collect, validate, and document business requirements;
specify interfaces and required data models.
- Product catalogues & operational rules: Co-design and define product catalogue entries and
provisioning obligations for MVP and operation.
- Data and error analysis: Investigate data quality, reports, and interfaces; create
error analyses and coordinate corrective measures.
- Reporting & automation: Develop and maintain parametric reports and automations for
operational support.
- Testing & quality assurance: Test developments, verify bug fixes, and ensure
system integrity.
- Operational support & training: Support end users, create documentation, and
conduct training; provide operational support during disruptions.
- Collaboration: Work across multiple agile teams, manage a shared backlog,
and coordinate closely with stakeholders.
Requirements
must have:
- Education: University degree in computer science, business informatics, electrical engineering, business administration, or
equivalent.
- Professional experience: At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Requirement Engineer, ideally in
projects with complex IT landscapes.
- Analytical skills: Strong analytical thinking, abstraction ability, and
problem-solving competence.
- Communication skills: Very good oral and written proficiency in German and English,
other national languages are an advantage; ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Team and customer orientation: Strong team skills, proactive, independent working style, and high
service awareness towards end users.
- Perseverance and flexibility: Resilience in complex and long-running topics as well as
willingness to adapt to changing requirements.
- Industry experience: Experience in telecommunications or railway technology is an advantage.
nice to have:
- Experience with modern data platforms and BI tools, handling APIs, as well as knowledge in automation/orchestration environments.
- Solid knowledge in the use of AI applications, especially in the development and utilisation of AI agents and prompt engineering.
- Methodology & certifications: Experience with agile methods; certifications in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP/CCBA) or project management (e.g. PMP) are desirable.
- Coaching: Experience in mentoring or training colleagues.
- Regulatory & domain knowledge: Understanding of relevant standards and regulatory requirements in the telecommunications environment is a plus.

Work location: Bern (hybrid / remote: 60% on-site and 40% remote)
