Our client is the municipality of Alpnach / OW, an attractive residential community on the shore of Lake Alpnach and at the foot of the Pilatus with over 6,600 inhabitants. The municipality is characterised by a high residential and tourism appeal as well as a generally favourable transport location. In the course of the further development of structures and personnel expansion, we are looking for a personality as of now or by arrangement for the position of
Head of Department and Member of the Executive Board (80 – 100 %)
You will take on a versatile leadership role. You are responsible for the operational management of the departments of Building Authority/Spatial Planning, Development/Civil Engineering (including water supply), Properties/Infrastructure as well as the Utilities Service. Your team consists of 4 department heads and around 25 employees. Together with your department heads, you plan the projects and monitor their implementation. Furthermore, you take on administrative tasks (preparation of messages and resolutions, etc.) and ensure appropriate communication within the department as well as towards the municipal council. In addition, you attend commission meetings and represent your department within the executive board.
We look forward to a generalist who has a commercial background with administrative experience and close construction reference, or a construction-technical career with administrative experience. You enjoy project management. Ideally, you have several years of leadership experience as well as enjoyment of administrative tasks. Your high service orientation, resilience and assertiveness, combined with political sensitivity, complete your profile.
