The municipality of Gossau ZH in the Zurich Oberland has over 10,500 inhabitants. In our service-oriented municipal administration, around 130 employees work in six departments. Our modern municipal library is a popular meeting place for young and old and offers a diverse selection of media as well as services such as the book drop. Library Assistant (20% - 25%)
Your area of responsibility:
- Building, expanding, maintaining and attractively presenting the media collection
- Managing loans and returns
- Advising and supporting our customers
- Assisting in the planning, organisation and implementation of events and projects
- Taking on administrative tasks
Your profile:
- Professional experience in library services or a comparable role is an advantage
- Completed training or further education in library services or willingness to undertake this
- Good German language skills, spoken and written
- Confident use of common IT applications, especially Microsoft Office and Teams
- Curiosity about trends and innovations as well as enjoyment in active participation
- Flexibility regarding working hours, including regular Saturday shifts
