The Plantahof is a service of the Department of Public Economy and Social Affairs and is the centre of expertise for agricultural training and consultancy in the Canton of Graubünden. In addition to the basic vocational school in agriculture, the Plantahof offers various continuing education courses, professional development courses and conferences and is responsible for comprehensive consultancy and the transfer of specialist knowledge in favour of Graubünden and Glarus agricultural and alpine farms and other circles involved in agricultural issues. For these purposes, it also operates its own agricultural and experimental farm at four different locations together with two farm shops. It also has a conference centre with boarding facilities, an auditorium and a canteen.
For 1 October 2026 or by agreement, we are looking for a dairy technologist.
- Independent production of innovative and high-quality dairy products for the conference centre, for its own farm shops and for other customers
- Production of a wide range of specialities based on cow, goat and sheep milk from the farm, in collaboration with an apprentice
- Responsibility for consistently high product quality
- Contribution of own ideas for further development of the range
- Occasionally: collaboration in professional development courses
- Completed training as a dairy technologist or master cheesemaker
- Professional experience in cheese or milk processing is an advantage
- Experience with different types of milk (cow, sheep, goat) is an advantage
- Knowledge of new market trends and contribution of innovative ideas for the development of new products
- Strong sense of hygiene as well as good knowledge of food regulations
- Independent, solution-oriented and structured working method
- The working language is generally German. Knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage.
