Parking situation at the primary school - no parent taxi I School Board, School Management During the autumn holidays, Schulhausstrasse and the adjoining pavement were renovated. On this street and Haldenacherstrasse, we increasingly observe parents driving their children to or collecting them from school by car. With unclear turning manoeuvres or illegal parking on the roadside or pavement, you may cause dangerous moments for all children. Therefore, we urgently ask you as parents not to drive your children to or collect them from school by car! Please use the designated parking spaces in the side streets if you must exceptionally collect your child. Events
Insight into internal school development day I School Management Before the autumn holidays, the pedagogical team of the primary school furthered their education. The morning was dedicated to a lecture by Prof. Dr. Luder from PHZH on the topic "Focus on Multiprofessional Collaboration" and "School Location Discussion".
In the afternoon, the teams presented their implementations in the classroom on last year’s annual focus "Giftedness and Talent Promotion" and gave feedback to the school management on their work using Miro. Finally, PICTS (Pedagogical ICT Support) offered mini-training sessions:
§ Robots, Blue-Bots and Bee-Bots - what are the differences § AI in school - further familiarisation and experimentation § SCHABI - tool for class teachers § Smartboard and interactive whiteboard - tips and tricks At midday, we were catered for by the kitchen team of the day structure with an autumnal menu and the social interaction also found its rightful place. Image video Primary School Birmensdorf I School Management, School Board
- Tinus Meier is an independent video producer and a former pupil of the
- Primary School Birmensdorf. We had a video of our primary school created by him. It presents and depicts our school with its
- learning spaces and playgrounds. The video is intended, among other things, to be used in the recruitment process for new
- teachers. Of course, you as parents can also watch it right away or scan the QR code.
Also during this year’s autumn holidays, the children of Birmensdorf were able to participate in the well-known autumn get-together. 49 courses with extremely diverse topics were offered and the children enjoyed a varied holiday programme. On behalf of the primary school, we would like to sincerely thank the Parents’ Forum Birmensdorf for the voluntary organisation and implementation. The children definitely appreciated and enjoyed it! Seniors in the Classroom I School Management Do you know a person who is interested in working with us at the school as a "class grandma" or "class grandpa"? Then please draw their attention to:
Homepage - Vacancies - Seniors in the Classroom Do you enjoy working with children? Would you like to refresh everyday school life with your commitment and life experience?
Then you bring the most important prerequisites for a deployment in the classroom. As a "class grandma" or "class grandpa" you support children at school in learning. Whether in arithmetic, reading, reading aloud or as a companion, e.g. in the forest. You provide your life experience, patience and time. Voluntary work in the classroom is something for almost all seniors. A mutual, trusting relationship between you, the teacher and the children forms the basis for this cooperation. You do not need any pedagogical prior knowledge. You take on the role of companion and classroom visitor at the school. The responsibility for class management and teaching remains with the teacher. If interested, please contact the school management without obligation.
