About the job

• Leadership of the Freight Operations & Value Added Services (VAS) division including professional and disciplinary management of team leaders
• Responsibility for compliance with budget, performance and quality targets within your area
• Ensuring timely and efficient order processing for further handling
• Supporting the department head in achieving strategic and operational key figures
• Close cooperation with internal departments, group companies and external business partners
• Participation in the strategic development of the logistics organisation as well as implementation of optimisation measures
• Initiation and support of projects for continuous improvement of processes, cost structures and workflows
• Promotion of talents and teams as well as ensuring compliance with safety, quality and legal requirements in the area of responsibility

• Higher education in logistics, business administration or engineering (HF, professional certificate, federal diploma or equivalent)
• Several years of leadership experience, ideally in logistics, supply chain or an operational environment
• Experience in analysing, optimising and designing processes as well as working with key figures
• Very good user knowledge of IT, ERP and warehouse management systems
• Strong analytical skills as well as networked and entrepreneurial thinking
• High communication and leadership competence with enthusiasm for developing and promoting employees
• Independent, service-oriented and responsible working style as well as willingness to work flexible hours
• Very good German skills and impeccable reputation
