Senior DevOps Engineer

Job description:

This is an initial contract running for 12 months with strong potential to extend (up to maximum of five years), with start date ASAP.

You will join an established team of SRE/DevOps engineers and developers focused on improving resilience, security, and operational excellence within a highly regulated environment implementing observability and automation solutions around Openlink Findur, Financial Messaging System, and OpenShift platforms to meet the needs of stakeholders. The role involves close collaboration with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver scalable and compliant solutions.

Currently, the project focuses on two main tools: GitHub Enterprise and ELK. We are also looking into onboarding Ansible Automation Platform. Having experience in similar projects would be important, ideally with these tools and onboarding them, or experience with a similar tool in the market. We are looking for experienced candidates (late professional to senior level).

The current focus areas include GitHub Enterprise, ELK Stack, and automation platform onboarding initiatives.

Responsibilities will include:

• Improve and enhance SDLC and DevOps processes across enterprise platforms
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitHub Actions)
• Create and optimize automation scripts and infrastructure tooling
• Work on observability and monitoring solutions using ELK or similar technologies
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on compliance and best practices
• Contribute to automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code methodologies
• Support configuration, resilience, and operational improvements across platforms
• Document solutions, standards, and operational procedures
• Participate in end-to-end delivery within a cross-functional engineering team

Please note interviews would be conducted via video call, however the role is based 100% in Switzerland. Our client offers:

Compensation benefits:

You will possess as many of the following skills as possible:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related engineering roles
• Strong experience delivering large-scale DevOps initiatives
• Hands-on expertise with CI/CD platforms (preferably GitHub Actions)
• Good knowledge of Scripting (PowerShell and/or Bash) and programming languages such as C#
• Experience with ELK Stack or similar observability platforms
• Strong understanding of security best practices including: Secrets management, Encryption Access control and permissions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Passion for clean code, automation, and software craftsmanship
• Fluency in English

Nice to Have:

• OpenShift / Kubernetes experience
• Infrastructure as Code experience (preferably Ansible)
• Database administration experience (ideally Oracle)
• Experience within banking, financial services, or regulated environments
• Experience with treasury management systems
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or similar field
