Overview of Role

The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing our financial transactions and actively contribute to our accounting and reporting duties, both for Rothschild and Co Bank AG as well as its international subsidiaries.

We are looking for a change enthusiastic person with exceptional attention to detail and who can work under pressure. We also expect the candidate to contribute to exciting projects and change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAPs
  • Assisting in audits by preparing and providing supporting documentation and information
  • Overseeing the Accounts Receivables process (generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner, monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables and proper cash allocation)
  • Substantiation of financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Liaising with external accountants of the Bank's subsidiaries to ensure timely reporting to Group Finance
  • Driving the accounting journal postings and revenue and cost allocations
  • Establishing standard operating procedures
  • Owning the third-party relationship process
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Education and Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (e.g., Fachfrau/Fachmann im Finanz- und Rechnungswesen, Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field)
  • SAP knowledge and experience preferred
  • Fully computer literate (MS Office)

Experience, Skills and Competencies required

  • Professional experience in Accounting, Accounts Payable & Receivable, or related fields
  • Problem-solving mind-set combined with strong analytical skills and a flair for numbers
  • Task-focused and able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
  • Structured, organized and collaborative personality
  • Control consciousness
  • Open-minded – ready for change
  • Fluent in English, other languages (German, French) are beneficial
